2019 Cooper CCM Ventilator Curriculum “Mastering Mechanical Ventilation”

2019 Cooper CCM Ventilator Curriculum

“Mastering Mechanical Ventilation”

AIM: The safe and effective delivery of a positive-pressure breath requires an understanding of both basic and advanced concepts in mechanical ventilation. Attempts to teach these concepts are often bested by complexity, inconsistency, and a varied approach. Regardless of previous experience and expertise we are starting over and building from the ground up. We will master mechanical ventilation though a learner-centered model. There is expected concept overlap within these core competencies. The repetition and layering of concepts will be key to acquiring each competency. The core competencies are structured around integrated learning not graduated learning.
